iPad / iPhone fans: 1 year ago · ViewFor those of you who like to BBQ, I just downloaded the Weber BBQ app and am duly impressed. Tons of great recipes and instructional videos. Two thumbs up. I think it is only available in the US store though..

iPad / iPhone fans: 1 year, 2 months ago · ViewSo is anyone tempted to get the iPad 2?
I can’t say it offers quite enough to upgrade from the first iPad, unless of course I manage to get a splendid deal somehow

iPad / iPhone fans: 1 year, 3 months ago · ViewI just noticed that the app Foliobook Ipad portfolio is now free. I don’t know how long it stays free, or if it’s a good app, but for free it’s always intresting to try
cool, thanks for the heads up.
is it on a ’free’ sale right now or is it always free?
It’s only free now. Normally you pay $ 7,99. I had it in my wishlist on appshopper. They emailed me this morning that the price dropped to free
ahh, got it – thanks. all the more reason to grab it now. I downloaded it but havent played with it yet.

so, any favorite apps to recommend?
I use mostly the ”lookup” apps. My favorite one is Dictionary, I’m always looking things up when I read.
IMDb, Flixter, White pages, TV guide are helpful. Netflix app is slow and sometimes hangs up but I can at least check/change my queue. Scramble is my favorite game, Shanghai second. Nothing amazing, just a few that make my life easier and get the information I need quickly. I use the Notes all the time for reminders, go & do lists, recipes, ideas, travel info, etc. I love not having to keep up with paper anymore….take my phone and it has everything I need. The clock wakes me up gently with harp music and my calendar is kept up to date with alerts for all appointments/reminders so I don’t have to try and remember anything.
Yeah, I think loosing all the paper lists that I have laying all over is one of the better advantages with a smart phone. I have a few apps that I find very handy, but only once in a while, like Shazam that finds out what song is playing by hearing it. I also like Evernote a lot to store little bits of info I see on posters or store opening times etc. and notesy as my note app, which syncs with dropbox
Thanks, I’ll check those out!
